It's Bush

Me and my credentialed self are calling it a win. Take that for whatever it's worth. When it's official, I have some emails to shoot to a few commenters who've contended with me for 8 months that Kerry would win. I'm pretty good at gloating when it turns out that I'm right. So it seems the youth did not vote. They only made up 17% of voters which is the same number as last year. But that's according to the pollers who talk to the drunken college students. Yep, the reasons for this apathy will be my column topic next week. I did however, have a chance to put together what I feel are some of the best pictures of November 2nd > >  Bush and family sit back and watch the results. Gotta respect a man who can cross his legs without looking feminine.
 Improper use of the American flag. This man may be helping with ballots, but he's certainly not helping the cause of patriotism with that vest. Go straight to jail.
 You gotta admit, this is beautiful. Obama deserved this win way more than Keyes with his carpetbagger, pro/anti-reparations floppy self.
 At this point, they may be holding up their hands for the number of drinks they've had.
 Senate majority leader Bill Frist does the hokey pokey.

 At this point, I'd be asking people like this NOT to vote for me.
No dog deserves this.
 And no dog deserves this either.
 I am convinced I may have attended high school with these individuals.
 And yes, everyone voted.
 Perhaps the prayers worked.
 Completely unnecessary.
 This is how I felt all day. 
"I'm pretty good at gloating when it turns out that I'm right." Ambra... that is such the Christian thing to do... I know Jesus would be proud. In any case... I'm depressed... but I take solace in the fact that for once in his mediocre, over-privileged, pathetic life, Bush will have to clean up his own mess. The country will survive... we will all move on...we always do... I wish we could split into three countries... (1) the west coast (Cali, Oregon, Washington... eh, we'll steal Nevada), I'd love to see Red States economically survive. Alas... just a pipe dream. About that west coast thing... You can feel comfortable in taking East washington with you. East Washington is Red Country. There just aren't enough people there to overcome King/Snohomish/Pierce County on the West side. I'm 60 years young and I've never, in my lifetime, been polled. If I were, I'd lie about it! I think polls are a media attempt to influence stupid voters who don't know the issues and want to vote for the "winner". For he's a jolly good fellow And happy trails, Tom Daschle, you obstructionist so & so. (Hi Ambra. How've ya been, Sis? I'm cool.) Wonder if Jab would be gloating if the results were different? Ambra, you go right ahead and do the Republican hokey pokey (don't worry Kerry and Edwards won't go brokey) dance. We'll continue to thank God for the election results and celebrate His providence. God Loves You! Gloat away, Ambra! Imagine the great fun I'm having over here in New York!!! My job's post-election pool is: What job will Claudio have in the Bush Administration? Now let's hope Bush stays humble and changes course a bit. Now is not the time to get high and mighty. Claudio Where are these supposed polled people? I got exit-polled in 2000, so I know from direct experience that it does happen to normal people from time to time. The sample was, I believe, 12,000 people out of 120,000,000 voters, so your chances of being polled or knowing someone who is are vanishingly small. Very nice assembly of photos. I love the last one especially, although that shot of the Obamas should win multiple awards. My relief has already given way to panic, tomorrow my daughter turns 6, and I have spent all day baking her cake (two full-sugar white layers, one low-carb, dairy-free chocolate layer) which will be decorated tomorrow while she is in school. I'm grateful that the Lord has seen fit to lift the burden of following politics from my shoulders at this most opportune moment. :) THe last picture is how I felt at 2:30 AM knowing I had to be upon at 5:30 and go to work. :( If pollsters are take 12,000 out of 120,000,000 voters don't you think that's a cooky percentage? Yeah! Where are these supposed polled people?! I've never known anyone to be polled or have known anyone that knows someone that is polled.
Maybe you are right, that the people polled are drunken college students, but somehow that just doesn't seem to fit. (shrugs)
