Radio Interview

Okay so my last radio interview on Rabbi Daniel Lapin's show is up online. They had me on for about 45 minutes so it's not exactly quick listening. Rabbi Lapin heads up an organization called Toward Tradition.

I'll give you the link with one disclaimer: in her excitement, my interviewer was very nice, but admittedly started off the interview talking over me quite a bit so it sounds like we're competetively talking. You know how it is when someone asks you a question and then interrupts you when you try to answer. She eases off towards the remainder of the interview, but anyway, there you have it.

I think you may need the evil Windows Media Player to listen, and pardon the commercials: Toward Tradition Interview.

P.S. For all you who sent me pronounciations. You are correct, "Nykol" is pronounced "Knee-cole" and hence the site is "knee-kola".

A radio interview and a newspaper op-ed in the same week. Good for you. We've all been praying on your behalf.

Yep, you sound exactly how you look.

I didn't say the above to irk you, I promise.

Great interview!

It was (almost) worth sitting through a Rush Limbaugh commercial to hear your lovely voice. Good job kiddo!

yeah and wot's that sposetda mean?

See, I realized that I'd receive that response after I clicked 'Post'. Blasted internet and it's irrevocability.

That's what I get for not holding my tongue.

I will employ my save-my-behind technique here:

To answer your question.. it means you have a beautiful voice!

Jasmin: Yeah I shoulda warned folks about the Limbaugh commercial. He is not my dude if you know what I mean. You shoulda done what I did....fastforwarded that mug.

Alex: forget it.

Nice interview Ambra, you are on your way. I found it a refreshing conversation, even with the competitive talking.

The interviewer cracked me up. It was worth it just to hear her use the words ominous and liberal in the same sentence. Maybe it was the thought of Seattle liberals hearing her it.

I'm glad to hear the voice behind the blogger. I expected your voice to be a little lower, maybe because of your deep-held views.

The interviewer (Rochelle?) is supposed to be a communications major, yet I got the impression she skipped the Listening 101 class. She made me feel like reaching through the speaker and "gently" slapping her.

You sounded a little nervous at first but got some momentum and overcame Miss Interruptus. Congrats on the interview.

Ambra, I very much enjoyed hearing what you had to say, in addition to always enjoying reading what you have to write about. It is so refreshing to be able to read/hear your perspective... since you are someone who "breaks the mold" and defies stereotypes. You are a remarkable person, who I expect has a very bright future! Well done! :)

So, can you yodel it like "Neeeee-coooo-laaaa"?

Or, rather, can we?

Ambra - great interview. Your held your own beautifully against too many interruptions...maybe next time you'll get invited on a show where they'll let you direct the flow of the conversation and get in all that you want to say. Until then...

Thanks Miss Janna, as are you.

Sigivald: you can yodel all you want. That's a secret skill I always wish I had.

The commercails sound just like here except for the locations. Ick

On the other hand, you were great.

I finally listened. Great job! You are an interview natural. Best of all I now know that I pronounced "Ambra" correctly! ("Nykol" was easy...)
