In My World

Lack of updates due to my insanely crazy life. Thursday is my favorite day of the week. It's the day that leads up to Friday which makes it that much better. I am one of those strange people who likes anticipation of the weekend better than the weekend itself.

Being that I use the state of my apartment as a gage for how my life is going, I'd say things are most definitely chaotic right now. Am I the only one who gets mentally stressed when the laundry isn't folded?

In any case, I have a couple writing deadlines to make so nykola.com gets neglected today. Oh and get this, tomorrow myself and a couple of other Seattle bloggers have a photo shoot for an uncoming magazine article. Here's to hoping that my cheek doesn't swell up again. Should I wear my Bush T?

I'll be back tomorrow. I will however, be responding to comments and email for the sake of anyone who feels like telling me how stupid I am ;-)

I'm the opposite. I actually find comfort when my bedroom is a total wreck. I have to hop over piles and run through a troop just to make it to the bed. Of course, the living room and kitchen must be clean as a whistle. My pastor observed that it's only the rooms that others see that I want clean, and what does this imply about my life... Hmmm, too deep for me!

Laundry is my depression gauge, actually. If it sits unfolded in the dryer for longer than overnight, I know I should seriously consider getting medication. When the clothes stay in the basket, folded but not put away, for more than a day, I know I need at least an afternoon off with something really delicious to eat or drink...

The stress-indicator is the state of the kitchen island counter. When I am not stressed, it stays pretty much completely cleared, except for the stuff my husband insists on piling up on it. (grrrr!) Right now it's covered with mail, water bottles, unfinished craft projects, scented candles, newspapers, receipts, and a baby blanket (my daughter's; she is not a baby but has decided she wants to carry the thing around today). Needless to say, I have to get on it, or I will never be able to de-stress!

Yet, strangely, I'm sitting here typing up this way-too-long reply... hee!

Thursday is my favourite day of the week, too, for exactly the same reasons.

Lori, that could get very deep LOL.

Joan, you sound like me. The amount of crap in the back seat of my car is an indicator of stress level as well. Maybe it's a female thing.
